Ways to Use the Printable Queen Crown Headbands
There are so many ways you can use the queen crowns. Here are just a few ideas!
1. Use them in a readers’ theatre to help students act out stories.
2. Use one of the templates as a birthday crown to celebrate each student’s special day.
3. Add them to your dramatic play center, along with dress-up clothes, for creative play.
4. Make it an art activity where kids design a crown for a queen. They can learn about the royal family, look at images of real crowns, and decorate their crowns with jewels. Then, they can cut them out and wear them.
How to Make the Paper Crowns
Print the Crowns: Start by printing out the headbands.
Decorate the Headbands (if using the black and white templates): Let the kids use pencils, crayons, or markers to decorate the crowns. They can color the front part and the strip, or leave the strip white if they prefer.
Cut Out the Pieces: Carefully cut out both parts of the crown.
Measure the Strip: Most kids will need just one strip, but it’s a good idea to measure around their heads to be sure. Add an extra strip if needed.
Attach the Strip to the Front:
- Tape or glue one end of the strip to one side of the front part.
- Wrap the strip around the child’s head to check the fit.
- Tape or glue the other end of the strip to the other side of the front part. If the strip is too short, you can add an extra piece.
Secure the Crown: Using tape or staples works best for securing the crown so kids can wear them right away without waiting for glue to dry.
Now the kids have their headband that they can wear and enjoy on a teddy bear picnic!
